As the new year brings us back to the studio, we have updates regarding the Chicago Vaccine Mandate. As you may know, on January 3, 2022, a vaccine mandate for individuals age 5 and up went into effect for several indoor business entities, including dance studios, in the City of Chicago.  

Beginning Sunday, January 23, students ages 5 and older will be required to provide proof of vaccination upon entry. Individuals age 16+ will be required to provide photo ID along with their proof of vaccine. Those under age 16 will be required to show proof of vaccination. We will not be able to permit entry to anyone 5 years and older who has not been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, unless an exception applies. Proof of the medical or religious exemption and a COVID-19 test administered by a medical professional within the last 72 hours prior to entering a covered location will be required. The City of Chicago mask mandate also remains in effect for all public indoor settings. These mandates come directly from the City of Chicago and we hope you understand that we will be compliant with these direct orders.

The Youth Ensemble program is designed for dancers between the ages of 12-18 to gain training in ballet and modern as well as repertory workshops led by Deeply Rooted's Artistic staff and mentorship with Deeply Rooted company members. Students will have opportunities to perform throughout the Chicagoland area and participate in a culminating end-of-year Dance Education Showcase. The season consists of three terms: Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer Dance Intensive (optional). For a consistent learning atmosphere for artistic and technical growth, we require each dancer to commit to participating in the full season of the Youth Ensemble.

Winter Session

In-Studio | Full Session

Dates: Sundays, January 9–February 20, 2022, 3:00–6:30 PM CT
Ages: 12-18
Tuition: $300

Please note that the 2021-2022 Youth Ensemble Season programming is subject to change due to the circumstances surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic. Presently, masks are required at all times in the studios and throughout the premises. While in-person programming will be compliant with CDC guidelines to ensure the safety and appropriate protections for the dancers and instructors, a shift to virtual programming is possible as things evolve with the Delta variant.

Virtual | Single Session (Technique Class Only)

Dates: Sundays, January 9–February 20, 2022, 3:00–4:30 PM CT
Ages: 10-18
Tuition: $20 a class

Virtual Youth Ensemble Single Session Technique Classes consist of training in Ballet and Modern workshops led by Deeply Rooted Artistic Staff through Zoom. Single session students are dismissed at 4:30 PM CST.

Virtual | 8-Class Pass (Technique Class)

Dates: Sundays, January 9–February 20, 2022, 3:00–4:30 PM CT
Ages: 10-18
Tuition: $120 a class

Virtual Youth Ensemble Single Session Technique Classes consist of training in Ballet and Modern workshops led by Deeply Rooted Artistic Staff through Zoom. Single session students are dismissed at 4:30 PM CST. The 8-Class pass is a class package option.
